Why we only use the real thing.

At Blanche Heirloom, paper is not just a surface—it’s the beginning of your story. It’s the first thing your guests will touch, feel, and hold. That’s why we are devoted to the true art of handmade paper—crafted with care, tradition, and soul.
While ripped or deckled-edge paper may appear similar from afar, the difference is in the touch, the process, and the intention behind it.
Handmade Paper — Our Standard, Always
We exclusively work with artisans across Europe who have dedicated their craft to the centuries-old tradition of papermaking. Each sheet is hand-pulled from cotton or natural fibers, air-dried, and softly pressed—creating organic edges that are never torn, but formed.
The result is a textured, weighty paper that carries a sense of time and place. No two sheets are the same. Their delicate imperfections are what make them feel alive—elevated, romantic, and enduring.
This is the foundation of every suite we design. Not a replica. Not a shortcut. But true handmade paper, chosen for its heirloom quality and timeless elegance.
Why We Don’t Use Ripped Paper
Deckled-edge or “ripped” paper is typically machine-made stock torn by hand to mimic the look of handmade. While it can create a similar aesthetic from a distance, it lacks the richness, depth, and soul of authentic paper artistry.
At Blanche Heirloom, we don’t believe in mimicking beauty—we believe in honoring it. That’s why every piece we design begins with genuine handmade paper, thoughtfully selected from our exclusive artisan partners.

An Heirloom from the First Touch
When you hold handmade paper, you feel the difference. You feel history, craftsmanship, and intention woven into each fiber. And when your guests hold it, they feel it too. It becomes more than stationery—it becomes part of the memory.
This is the paper we choose for our couples. Not because it’s easier—but because it’s worth it.
